The newly revamped Redline Cup Series will begin next weekend in the states of Florida and Wisconsin, on Sunday, January 18th at Oldsmar BMX and Walworth County Indoor BMX.  For the first time in the 30-year history of the Redline Cup Series the qualifying events count for much more than just an opportunity to race at the finals.  This year at the Redline Cup Qualifiers riders are actually awarded points, which a rider can use for their best RCQ score towards their overall Redline Cup Final standings.  Riders will want to race in as many Redline Cup Qualifiers as possible to maximize their points which are based on the ABA State/Provincial points table.  Each Redline Cup Final event will offer two events (Sat. & Sun.) where points will be awarded.  A riders best Redline Cup Qualifier points plus the final event will be totaled to find the best riders in each age group per region.  One of the most exciting aspects will be the number plates which will now be awarded 1st-3rd.  As always each champion will receive a photo in the BMXer as well as the coveted #1 Redline Cup Champion jacket.
